description This park east of Atlanta is best known for its beautiful campground, cottages, lakeside group camp and Confederate museum. Visitors flock to A. H. Stephens for its fishing, geocaching, camping, trail and educational opportunities.
drivingDirection Located 2 miles north of I-20 off Exit #148 (Hwy. 22). Turn right at the junction of Hwy 22 and Hwy 278. Turn left at the traffic light. Go 2 blocks, turn left, then make an immediate right. Follow signs to park office. If RV is taller than 12' 10", exit at #148 travel 2 miles and go across junction of Hwy 22 and Hwy 278. Turn right onto MLK, Jr. Dr. NW. Go 1 mile , turn left onto Alexander Street. Follow signs to park office.
facilitiesDescription This park offers a variety of camping opportunities. RV/Tent, equestrian and pioneer campgrounds are available for use by individuals or groups. Camp Stephens (a lakeside group camp) is perfect for large overnight gatherings. The group shelter offers AC/Heat, kitchen, grill and ADA accessibility. Covered picnic shelters are also available.

importantInformation For reservation inquiries please call 1-800-864-7275. For Park inquiries please contact the park at 706-456-2602. A Parkpass is required for all vehicles. Price for parkpasses are not included with the reservation. ParkPass fees are as follow: 1-12 passenger vehicles $5 per day or $50 annual ParkPass; 13 - 30 passenger vehicles $30 per day or $75 annual ParkPass; 31 or more passenger vehicles $70 per day or $250 annual ParkPass; Georgia active duty military/veterans $3.75 per day or $37.50 annual ParkPass. Overnight guests pay only one fee for the duration of their stay. The daily ParkPass is valid at all state parks visited the same day and is not valid at state historic sites.

orientationDescription A H. Stephens State Park is located in a beautiful loblolly pine forest planted in the early 1930’s by the CCC. These loblolly pines provide plenty of shade for campers without interrupting satellite signals.
